♫ WHO SANG IT BETTER: PARADISO GIRLS vs. KERI HILSON

It seems as though the track “Hey Girl,” which was originally intended for Keri Hilson’s debut album, In A Perfect World…, which hits stores last week, has been sold to a new girl group called Paradiso Girls. Now, by looking at the picture and hearing their vocals, you are probably saying that these girls remind you of the Pussycat Dolls. Well, there’s a reason for that. PCD created Robin Antin is responsible is for this new girl group.

In any event, “Patron Tequila” is the girls’ first single, but it seems like there was a weird time difference between this making the Keri album and this track being the girls’ first single. So you know we’ve gotta ask you… who sang it better?

MAG COVERS: LIL WAYNE COVERS ROLLING STONE

How does arguably the greatest rapper on Earth follow up a blockbuster like 2008’s Tha Carter III, an album that moved more than 1 million copies its debut week and solidified Lil Wayne’s place in hip-hop history? By shifting gears and attempting to conquer rock & roll. Rap’s alien genius opens up to Mark Binelli about his upcoming rock album Rebirth in a series of revealing interviews for the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone, on newsstands this week. (Get a look at outtakes from the photo shoot.)

“The rock shit just comes from what my life is now,” Wayne, 26, says. “I’ve grown into this person.” He released his first album, 1999’s Tha Block Is Hot, when he was only 17, and built his name on being the busiest rapper in the game, dropping a relentless stream of mixtapes and cameos. (Revisit Weezy’s journey from kid MC to superstar, in photos.) But aside from plucking at electric guitars onstage and in videos, Weezy never let on that his rap career could take such a significant detour. Describing a wild night when he woke up in bed with three or four women he couldn’t name, Wayne reveals he had an epiphany. “I just got — I’m not going to say ’so good’ at what I was doing, but it became such a regularity for me that I got tired of it. And then I said, ‘You know what? I’m not going to rap on this one.’ “

Binelli follows Wayne from his posh Atlanta apartment to a club showcase where the MC checks out talent for his Young Money imprint to the studio — Wayne’s home away from home — where the superstar puffs his ever-present blunts and plays some Rebirth songs that recall vintage Beastie Boys and current emo, topped by Weezy’s Auto Tuned warbling. Wayne tells Binelli he knew he didn’t have raw vocal talent, but he dedicated himself to learning how to make his singing voice sound good on record. “I don’t want to be the best rapper in the world. Not now,” he says. “I want to be the best. Period. Now. My favorite rapper hasn’t done what I’m doing.”

Get the full story in Rolling Stone’s Issue 1076, on sale this week.

Get To Know Ron Browz....

Ron Browz - Ether Boy/Universal Motown

Ron Browz

For those that only know Ron Browz the artist here is his  background  as an established producer

When I was young I actually started off as a rapper. I was signed to an independent company out of Harlem but the guys that ran it got incarcerated. Before that they bought some studio equipment and after they left I took the equipment and started teaching myself how to make beats. Around that time I met Big L and produced 'Ebonics' for him and then went on to producer 'Ether' and 'Last Real Nigga Alive' for Nas, 'Blow it Out' for Ludacris and 'Whip Ya Head Boy' for 50 Cent.

T.I. Sends Right Message At Jail Sentencing

As a hip-hop fan and journalist I have watched a multitude of unremorseful rappers get incarcerated.

This is not to say that I don't think that some of the arrests were unjust because I do. But in the endless instances of drug charges, acts of violence and even perjury, I have never seen a hip-hop artist admit to any wrongdoing or accept any responsibility for their actions that ultimately lead to their sentencing.

This always concerned me because of the message it sends to the young impressionable fans. A message that says someone else was to blame for rapper's decision to carrying an illegal drug, assault someone or lie in court.

T.I.  originally seemed to be heading down that same path when he pleaded guilty when charged with attempting to buy unregistered machine guns and silencers the day he was scheduled to perform at the 2007 BET Hip Hop Awards in Atlanta. He posted the $3 million bail and was sentenced to house arrest. But he reconsidered maintaining his not guilty plea when he learned that if he lost in court he could face a maximum of 10 years in prison and $250,000 fine for each count.

Last March, T.I. was fortunate to be able to make a deal with the judge. In exchange for admitting guilt to a federal weapons charge he could serve one year and one day in jail. Friday, he was officially sentenced and will begin serving his jail time in the next 30 to 60 days.

But even though T.I. managed to avoid more severe punishment for his crime, he actually did something that other rappers in his same position likely would have never done. He accepted responsibility.

When he entered the Atlanta courtroom Friday he did not make excuses, reports AP. "Today, I would like to say thank you to some, and apologize to all," the multiplatinum selling rapper said to U.S. District Judge Charles Pannell Jr.

"Everything I learned was through trial and error," T.I. added. "I've learned lessons in my life to put in my music so people won't make the same mistakes as I."

I appreciate that T.I. was  not just spewing rhetoric.

His current single "Dead And Gone," a collaboration with Justin Timberlake, is about a reformed man who has learned from his transgressions. He raps, "Now I get it now I take time to think before I make mistakes." The hardcore rapper managed to do the impossible by scoring a hit with a positive record. The song is No. 4 on The Billboard Hot 100 chart and peaked at No. 2.

Additionally, T.I. has completed 1,000 hours of community service, a lot of which has included talking to kids about avoiding the troubles he experienced. He has made 262 related public appearances.

Additionally, he was the subject of a MTV reality show called "Road To Redemption" that chronicled some of his efforts to help steer kids onto the right path.

T.I. has also recently said that he hoped that kids would be not impressed by his rap sheet but would acknowledge that he is taking the steps to become a changed man.

Hopefully, T.I.'s plight will not just inspire youth, but his fellow rappers alike.

Miley Cyrus.... Stuck up Diva About to Fall???????

Miley Cyrus needs to chill out. Just 16 years old, she's already acting like she's a stuck-up, erratic diva. She's pouting about not being granted access to Radiohead at the Grammys (best thing Radiohead ever did). She thinks she's got enough to say to write a memoir (a teenager writing an autobiography? WHAT?). Plus, she's dating "Nashville Star" flunky Justin Gaston, who is 20 years old (isn't that illegal, even in Nashville?).

Miley needs to step back and remember the scores of stories from superstars who let success go to their heads. These are the singers who became divas and started thinking the world revolved around them and that they could do whatever they wished without recrimination.

But every diva gets ditched sooner or later, and you're no exception, Miley.  So remember humility, or do I need to remind you that your dad is the dude who recorded "Achy Breaky Heart"? By the way, the flipside of that single is a song called "I'm So Miserable." A coincidence? I don't think so.

Ms. Cyrus, here is your future if you don't change your ways.

JENNIFER LOPEZ
Oh, J. Lo, what have you become? Jennifer Lopez came from humble beginnings. Born in the Bronx, her mom was a kindergarten teacher, and Jennifer worked in a legal office to pay for her dance lessons. What a difference ten years makes. Lopez has now ventured into every business imaginable, including pushing her own perfume. Nothing wrong with that: everyone needs to make a buck. You know what's lame? Insisting that hotel rooms be sprayed with her perfume before she arrives.

WHITNEY HOUSTON
Miley needs to look no farther than Miss Whitney to learn the dangers of shacking up with the wrong dude. Miley's 20-year-old boyfriend seems all right now. That's what everyone said about Bobby in the beginning. Sure, the young couple attends church together, but mark my words: it's only a matter of time before the teen queen is starring in a reality show called "Being Miley Cyrus." 'Nuff said.

MARIAH CAREY
All I have to say is this: it's a thin line between "Glitter" and "Hannah Montana: The Movie."

LINDSAY LOHAN
Closest in age to Miley, young Lindsay Lohan could be forgiven for her troubled behavior. After all, her dad is a former Wall Street trader convicted of stock fraud; he also was imprisoned after pleading guilty to driving while impaired and attempted assault. Her mother has been accused of drug abuse. Their daughter definitely has had her own problems, including a record of drug busts, DUIs, and altercations that rival that of the most troubled of divas. It's all more interesting than any of her music.

MADONNA
Madonna is the grand dame of bitchy divas. There's no boundary she's not willing to push, including dating dudes young enough to be her grandkid. She's the roadmap for Miley's future when 30 years from now we see her dating Nick Jonas' adopted grandson.

Bow Wow - New Jack City II

New Jack City II is the sixth studio album from rapper Bow Wow, scheduled to be released on March 31, 2009. Jermaine Dupri has production credit on 6 tracks, while other producers on the album are Nitti, Ron Browz, T.I., DJ Toomp, B.Cox, T-Pain, Drumma Boy, Lil Ronnie, J.R. Rotem, Swizz Beatz... and Soulja Boy if you count the Deluxe Edition. Featured artists on the album includes Ron Browz, Nelly, T.I., Jermaine Dupri, Johnta Austin, T-Pain, Kid Rock, Trey Songz, Dondria, Swizz Beatz... and Yung Joc & Soulja Boy counting the Deluxe Edition. It's a decent effort from Bow Wow, with an album that contains a lot of solid joints all the way through, but can't say I see any hit-potential unfortunately.

Arrested Detroit Lions Bust Finally Gets His Shot

TMZ has obtained the mugshot of former first round NFL draft pick-turned-Detroit Lions mega-bust, Charles Rogers.

Rogers -- the #2 overall pick in the 2003 draft -- was sentenced to 30 days in the slammer yesterday (with 15 days credit for time served) for violating the terms of his probation in a domestic violence case.

Court records show the 27-year-old, who signed a $55 million contract with the Lions back in the day, tested positive for alcohol and falsified records showing he attended AA classes.

Rogers was a wide receiver before he got locked up -- no word if he'll change his position before he gets out.

How Many Nannies Does OctoMom Need?

EIGHTEEN!!!!

TMZ has learned 18 different nannies from the Merry Poppins to Order nanny agency have been looking after Nadya Suleman's family for the last two years -- before, during, and after the whole Angels in Waiting fiasco.

We're told the army of nannies work in 4-5 person shifts ... which could last up to 12 hours.

The nannies are each trained by Kaiser Permanente nurses -- and we're told Nadya pays for the services out of her own pocket ...

...probably with the allowance she got from Dr. Phil.

Pam Anderson: Spare Some Change?

The homeless situation in Malibu has really gotten out of control.

Pam Anderson

Oh wait, it's actually just 41-year-old mother of two Pamela Anderson yesterday. Oopsies!

"Star Wars" No Longer Portman's Crappiest Role

Natalie Portman may need to be hospitalized for exhaustion, because she's really pooped.

Natalie Portman
While in West Hollywood on Thursday, the 27-year-old starlet used leaves to dislodge a dingleberry.

That still beats sharing screen time with Jar Jar Binks.

Ruth Madoff: A Christmas Story

Here's Ruth Madoff -- wife of $65 billion Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff -- in NYC on Thursday (left) -- and Peter Billingsley as Ralphie in the 1983 film "A Christmas Story" (right).

One of them has been working hard since they were two years old.

We're just sayin'.

"CSI" Advisor Sued for Framing Ex

A former homicide detective who has been an advisor to "CSI: Miami" is being sued by his former fiancee, alleging he viciously framed her in a police dragnet that could have gotten her killed.

Rebecca Accarino claims she was engaged to Michael Scott, a former L.A. County Sheriff's detective. According to the lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Accarino and her 11-year-old granddaughter moved in with Scott, but things went south when Accarino felt Scott was threatening toward her.

The suit claims she decided to break off the engagement but did not tell him. Accarino says on June 16, 2008, she and her granddaughter went to Scott's house to retrieve her stuff. Scott was not there but a neighbor spotted her and asked what she was doing. She told the neighbor she was breaking up with Scott and moving out.

Accarino says she took her stuff out of the house and drove off with her granddaughter in her BMW, which had been parked in the driveway. The neighbor called Scott and told him what had gone down. Scott told the neighbor to call 911 and say she had committed a burglary, she was driving a stolen car, she was armed, she was in possession of drugs and she would elude arrest.

The next thing Accarino knew, she was driving along when L.A. County Sheriff's deputies surrounded her car, with weapons drawn. Accarino and her granddaughter were removed from the car, forced to their knees with heads down and arms back. They were then handcuffed and searched.

Accarino is suing Scott and his neighbor for not less than $1 million for emotional distress and false imprisonment.

"Real Housewife" -- Real Selfish

Talk about adding insult to injury: Kim Zolciak, a cast member on the Real Housewives of Atlanta, just skipped out on a charity event for battered women...to take a vacation in the Bahamas. Here's the bad news -- she'll probably come back.

Zolciak was supposed to lend her "star power" to an event sponsored by Shoes for Shattered Hearts -- a charity that was actually co-founded by Zolciak herself. It's one thing to start a charity, it's another to actually show up, especially since this was the fledging organization's first event.

Instead of helping others, the Real Selfish Housewife opted for some "mental R and R". Apparently, the kind of R and R that you can only get in the Caribbean ... getting drunk on a beach.

RISING STAR ON THE MIAMI PARTY SCENE - SIMPLY JESS - THE 1ST LADY OF THE 400 CLUB

Simply Jess is from New York but moved to Miami in 2005 after attending Spring Break.

She started as a model scout but quit that job. She started working the door of Mansion and Prive but decide to venture off and start her own company with a few friends. The 400 club started as an intimate dinner party at Harrison's restaurant which turned into the most exclusive R&B Dinner party in Miami. It grew so big that they had to move it to the Fifth nightclub which happens every Friday.

Jess' is known throughout the country to invite and host only the most beautiful women to The 400 Club. Miami is known for the "look" and that is what she adds to her parties. My male friends refer to her parties as fantasy island.

Jess also models on the side and was in last years BET Rip The Runway modeling Amaya Swimwear.

Whenever you are in Miami check out her parties. Make sure you throw up The Shiggity gang sign to gain admission...LOL

For more info check out her myspace: www.myspace.com/jessfajardo
